Terms and Conditions
General provisions
The present terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as: „Terms and Conditions”) specify the rules of provision, operation and use of the International Institute of Longevity web portal (hereinafter referred to as „Portal”), run at the following URL address: www.l-institute.com, as well as the conditions concerning the free of charge services supplied electronically on the Portal (hereinafter referred to as „Services”). Payable services supplied electronically on the Portal are provided on the basis of separate terms and conditions, available at the address: … The publisher, the owner and the administrator of the Portal is International Institute of Longevity spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością with its registered office at ul. Św. Elżbiety 4, 50 – 111 Wroclaw, Poland, entered into the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register conducted by the District Court of the City of Wroclaw, VI Commercial Division, under the KRS number: 0000735121, with the share capital amounting to PLN 50 000, paid up in full, tax identification number: 8971855636 (hereinafter referred to as: Publisher or Administrator). In order to use the Portal and the Services, the following is required: a connection with the Internet network, an Internet browser enabling loading and browsing of web pages on the screen of the computer or any other electronic device. In order to use the newsletter Service, user shall choose the appropriate option on the Portal and indicate email address to which newsletters shall be sent. Any user, from the moment they start to use the Portal, shall be deemed as a party of the contract on providing services by electronic means concluded with the Administrator, and is obliged to comply with these Terms and Conditions, as well as with separate terms and conditions of payable services provided by the Administrator if selected by the user, abovementioned in point 1 therein. Any materials (especially photographs, graphics, video and audio files, etc.) placed in the Portal are protected under the act of 4 February 1994 on copyright and related rights (Polish Journal of Law of 2018, item 191, as further amended). All notifications about reprints of articles from the Portal, patronage requests, information about conducted research, organized conferences, etc., should be sent to the following email address: admin@l-institute.com Personal data of Portal users is processed in compliance with the provisions of the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (Polish Journal of Law of 2018, item 1000, as further amended), and the resolution of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC Services are provided in compliance with the Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means (Polish Journal of Law of 2019, item 123, as further amended).
The content of the Portal
The goal of the Portal is to enable Internet users to gain access to the resources shared on the Portal (i.e. texts, graphics, photographs, video and audio materials). All rights to the Portal as a whole belong to the Publisher, while rights to individual elements of its content (i.e. texts, graphics, photographs, video and audio materials), to Publisher or to natural or legal persons whose materials are lawfully shared by the Publisher on the Portal. Both the Portal and its individual elements are subject to protection pursuant to laws. The use of the Portal or any of its content’s individual elements in a manner which is unlawful or contrary to the Terms and Conditions shall be subject to penalty under the provisions of civil and criminal law. The pages of the Portal may display links, materials and presentations containing references to third party offers or services. The extent and conditions of using third party offers and services are specified in separate terms and conditions set by such entities. The Publisher shall not be responsible for conditions and effects of using offers and services of such parties by users. Users use the Portal at their own responsibility and risk. The Publisher does not guarantee that information and other materials presented on the Portal shall be correct, accurate or suitable for the purpose intended by the user and for which it has been searched for. The Publisher shall not be responsible for the consequences of the Portal use by the user, in particular for any decisions taken by the user on the basis of information and other materials obtained on the Portal. For technical reasons, the Publisher does not guarantee that information and materials transmitted through the Portal shall reach the user faultless, complete and in full. The Publisher does not guarantee that browsing pages shall take place without interruption, technical defects or that the user shall obtain precisely the information they were looking for.
